What is the Sketchpad series?
Twice a month I will be sharing a little scrapbook project with you. And those projects are called Sketchpad projects. My aim is to give you some resources that will hopefully help you kickstart your scrapping! Most of the time it will be scrapbooking sketches and templates but sometimes it may be a card project, or maybe a journaling challenge, maybe something else. They will be simple, there are no rules, flip them, reverse them, take bits out, add bits in, whatever you like (personal use only though please). The series is designed to jumpstart your creative process…so just go with the flow and see where you end up!
As a blog reader you will have access to the scrapbook sketch. A simple visual tool that you can save to your computer (if you want) and refer to when you are stumped for layout ideas.
As a newsletter subscriber you will have access to the Sketchpad layered template and the printable project page.
The layered scrapbook templates are in PSD and TIFF formats. Some will be simple and focus on photo placement, others will be detailed that will show placement of elements. Whatever takes my fancy at the time!
The printable project page is a great tool for creating your own physical project file. Print the pages, punch some holes in them and you have a handy little tool that if inspiration strikes when you are chopping carrots for dinner you can whip out your folder, find a layout sketch that fits your general idea, jot down some ideas for titles, journaling…and you are all set for when you get a chance to actually scrap. No more lost ideas…wahoo!
How do I get them?
